

Beauregard, 91, passed away the morning of October 2, 2018, after a brief illness.
Frank, born on March 17, 1927 in Worcester, MA to Arthur and Sadie Beauregard, was
one of nine siblings. He was a resident of Ventura since 1957.
Frank joined the United States Coast Guard and served during World War II as a
Specialist 3rd Class, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1946.
Frank met Mary Hunt while he was in the Coast Guard and they were married on
September 6, 1945. Frank and Mary enjoyed traveling the world, especially the ancient
Christian sites in the Middle East. They also cruised through the Panama Canal more
than once. They were married 60 years until Mary’s death in 2005.
Frank was with the Ventura City Fire Department for 28 years. He was very quickly
promoted to Engineer and then Captain. He retired from the Fire Department in 1985.
Frank enjoyed golfing, traveling, and gambling on the ponies and slot machines. He
was a long-time member and treasurer of the Saticoy Senior Golf Club where he
scored more than one “hole-in-one.”
Frank is survived by his sister Roberta Desrosiers of Paxton, MA, son Richard
Beauregard of Ventura, daughter Sylvia Doucette (husband Paul) of Buckeye, AZ,
grandson Brian Beauregard (wife Liana), and great-grandchildren Ethan and Hannah,
all of Ventura.
The family would like to thank Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Assn., Community
Memorial Hospital, Coastal View Health Care Center, and Dr. Bruce Woodling of
Ventura.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 13, 2018, 1:00 P.M., at the Ted
Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura, CA 93003. There will be a
reception following the service at a location to be announced.
Memorial donations may be made to Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Assn. 1996 Eastman Ave., #101, Ventura, CA 93003.
