Jennifer Marie Duffner

Jennifer was born in La Mesa, California to her parents, Charlene and Kenneth Storm. She graduated from Mountain Empire High School and moved to Ventura County approximately 15 years ago. Jennifer was hired in 1999 by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and graduated from the Ventura County Regional Training Center as a Deputy Sheriff in January 2000. Jennifer had attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Vocational Education in 2009 from San Diego State University and was currently pursuing her Master’s Degree from Cal State Northridge. Jennifer was still employed as a Deputy Sheriff at the time of her death.

Jennifer was a devoted mother, daughter, wife, sister, friend and co-worker. Jennifer’s greatest joy was her son, Indy and the relationship they shared. She enjoyed traveling and barbequing with family and friends. She also took great pride in watching Indy and stepson, AJ Duffner play sports.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Scott Duffner, son Indiana “Indy” Colby Davis, stepson, AJ Duffner, her parents Charlene and Kenneth Storm, sister Shannon Storm, brother Timothy Storm, parents-in-law, Jean and John Duffner, brother-in-law John Duffner and countless friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011, 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Services will be Friday, December 9, 2011, 10:00 A.M. at the Ventura Baptist Church, 5415 Ralston Road, Ventura Street, Ventura. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura.
