Linda H. Hughes

Linda was retired from her job at the Senior Outreach Center, a department of the County of Ventura, where she worked for 10 years. Linda loved to take short trips with her son, spend time with her grandsons and going to the movies with her daughter.

She was always busy doing something fun, like driving race cars on her iPad or connecting with family on Facebook. Linda had a wonderful sense of humor and always looked forward to April Fool’s Day, where she would call her kids or grandsons with a story that most of the time seemed true, then she would laugh and say, “April Fool’s, I got you!”

Linda is survived by her son, Chris Hughes; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Cesar Franco; grandsons, Andrew and Matthew; her sister, Irene; and father, Henry Osuna.

Services for Linda will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016, 2:00 pm, at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd, Ventura, CA 93003.

We’d also like to give a special thanks to the Ventura County Medical Center nurses and doctors for treating our mother with the dignity and respect that she deserved.
