

Lifelong Ventura County resident, Margaret “Margie” F. Farmer Rhoades, 76, of Newbury Park, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, following a lengthy illness. Margie was born March 31, 1936, in Ventura, to Thomas and Felipa Gabaldon.
Margie was an operator at AT&T Phone Systems and then was a supervisor at Thousand Oaks Printing, retiring in 2000. She attended St. Paschal Church in Newbury Park and was a member and past president of the Ventura-Santa Barbara Pioneer Council.
She is survived by her son Thomas A. Farmer of Newbury Park; daughter-in-laws, Lori Farmer of Bakersfield and Grace Farmer of Simi Valley; daughter, Lynda Lee Farmer of Oxnard; grandsons Tommy Farmer, Jr., Troy Rogers, Joshua Rogers, Nikki Cheyenne Farmer and Jacob Rogers; brother, Oscar “Danny” Gabaldon of Pt. Hueneme.
Services will be held Thursday, June 7th, 7:00 P.M. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, with Deacon Ed Mills officiating. Graveside services will take place Friday, June 8, 12:00 Noon, at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura. A reception will follow, location to be announced.
