Marion K. John

Marion was born in Chicago on May 29, 1938. She and her family moved to Southern California when she was a young child. Marion graduated from high school in 1956 and worked in electronics with her mother at Litton Industries for 10 years. She co-owned and operated multiple businesses in Ventura during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Marion also worked as a machinist for Manufacturing Technology Inc. for 14 years, until her retirement in 2004.

She was very proud of her 40 year involvement with The American Legion Post 339 Ladies’ Auxiliary. Marion held multiple local and district positions including President of the Auxiliary in 1979. She was also active with the Ladies’ VFW Post 1679.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo (Bud) John, parents, Florence and Robert Keith, and brother, Bobby.

She is survived by son Wayne John, daughter-in-law, Kristen, and two grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan; all of Mission Viejo.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura, California.
