Mildred Louise Rose

Mildred Rose, 84, passed away at home with family by her side, on Saturday, January 29, 2011, following a lengthy illness. She was born on March 24, 1926 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Alva and Dora (Fanning) Jeffrey. Mildred was a resident of Ventura County for 56 years and was a homemaker.

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Glenda Scoggins and Rosalie Noyes of Oak View; son and daughter-in-law, Hershel and Faye Stafford of Ventura; grandchildren, John Scoggins and Geraine Scoggins of Oak View, Jason Pierce of Santa Paula, Darren Stafford and Monica Stafford of Ventura, and Heather Rhoades of Oak View; great-granddaughters, Amanda and Tara Scoggins, and Tasha Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Virginia Jeffrey; sisters, Maxine Spann and Joyce Slife; and brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Theresa Jeffries.

Mildred was preceded in death by her son, George Tarpley; sister, Opal Hawkins, and her father and mother, Alva and Dora Jeffrey.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 2nd, 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, February 3rd, 11:00 A.M. at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine rd., Ventura.
