Norberta Maria Peinado

Maria was a very generous, thoughtful and loving person. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and she found great joy in gardening and cooking.

Maria is survived by her children: Candido Peinado of Ventura, Elia Hernandez of Chula Vista, Imelda Chaparro of Ventura, Peter Peinado, Jr. of Bonita and Martha Slife of Ventura; grandchildren: Sylvia Carmona, Selina Hernandez, Liana Hernandez, Robert (Buddy) Chaparro, Jr., Ryan Chaparro, Peter Peinado, III, Sarah Peinado, Nikko Slife and Noah Slife; sisters: Carmen Soto, Benicia Soto, Teresa Soto and Ofelia Moya all of Mexico, Concha Madrigal and Gabina Leyva both of Los Angeles; brothers: Esteban Soto of Ventura and Jose Armando Soto of Mexico.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Peinado, and her sister Rosario Soto de Felix.

Maria’s family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Bruce A. Woodling and to Alan Pinkerton.

Visitation will take place Thursday, May 17, 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M.

A Funeral Mass will take place Friday, May 18, 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ventura, with The Reverend Charles Lueras officiating. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.
