Sally Mae Palomares Little, 70, of Camarillo, CA passed away on December 14, 2016 after a long-fought battle with cancer. A lover of travel, flowers, and nature, Sally saw the beauty in everything and the good in everyone. As anyone who knew Sally can attest, she believed in putting others first and made home feel like home: she gave even when she couldn’t, and would always make sure everyone in her home was fed before sitting down – Sally was stubbornly sweet, genuinely generous, and always had a smile on her face.
Sally was born to Buenaventura Pati and Benito Palomares on October 22, 1946 in San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur Philippines. After earning her Associates Degree, Sally worked at the Subic Bay Naval Base in the Philippines, where she met Gary Little, who was stationed there. On June 23, 1987, Sally married Gary in the Philippines. A few years later the couple moved to the United States, where they raised and cherished their family.
In her later years, Sally loved traveling and going to the beach with her husband, taking walks with her beloved pet Sydney (a westie), and playing with her treasured grandchildren. Caring and compassionate, Sally loved her family dearly. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be always missed and forever loved. Sally was truly one of a kind and remained relentless and resilient in her fight with cancer, and her strength will live on in her legacy.
Sally is survived by her husband of 29 years, Gary Little; her daughters, Dorothy (Adam) Ely and Monica Little; and her grandchildren, Addison and Oren Ely.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura, CA, followed by a graveside burial service at 12:30 PM at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo, CA.
