Zachary Saul Freeman was killed in a tragic accident Saturday, August 14, 2010 while participating as a spectator at the annual truck races in Lucerne Valley that he attended every year with his friends, and looked forward to all year.
Zachary will be remembered in our hearts as a person that lived each and every day to the fullest. He never wanted to waste one idle moment, and was always surrounded by his loyal friends who were so important in his life, as were his family that he loved dearly. Zachary was a true people person and always had a smile on his face. He was easy going, happy, optimistic, and always positive.
He loved dirt bikes, his truck, snowboarding, wake boarding, his precious dog Dierks, and always had his fishing pole in the back of his truck ready to go.
Zachary was born on November 25, 1985 in Ventura, California and was 24 years old. He graduated from Buena High School in Ventura in 2004. He was presently employed at Irwin Industries as a pipe welder. He loved his work and excelled at it.
He is survived by his mother Debbie Freeman of Fillmore; father Alan Freeman of Port Hueneme; grandmother Selma Freeman of Brea; sister Marissa Freeman of Los Angeles; brother and sister-in-law Brendan and Christa Freeman of Ventura. He is also loved greatly by his uncles, aunts, and cousins; Dr. Gary and Ellyn Greenspan of Virginia and cousins Ethan and Jenna, Dr. Scott and Julie Greenspan of Laguna Niguel and cousins Kiefer, Gage and Paisley, and Mr. Monte and Ann Greenspan of Anaheim Hills and cousins Harrison and Gavin.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 20th, 2:00 P.M. at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home & Crematory, Ventura. Condolences may be left at www.TedMayrFuneralHome.com.
