Maria was born on October 10th, 1933 in Cleto, Italia and passed away peacefully on May 15, 2014 at Hospice House in Vernon. Maria will be lovingly remembered by: her husband Antonio; brother Mauro (Donna); four children: Nina (Gino), Giovanni (Kim), Dona (Kerry), and Renato (Karri); nephews, Lou and Gino (Laurie); seven grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; extended family in Canada, the United States and Italia; and numerous friends. Predeceased by her parents, Alfonso and Rosaria Lepore, and her sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Mario Furano.
Prayers will be recited on Tuesday, May 20th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in Saint James Roman Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 21st, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Saint James Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Dale Normandeau, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Maria’s behalf to Vernon Hospice House or the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
