Eva Sawatzky was born near Laird Saskatchewan on September 16th, 1922. She was the middle child of eleven of Johann and Maria Sawatzky. In 1941 she married Herbert Neufeld and they had 10 children. After several moves that took them from Abbotsford, BC to Capasin, Saskatchewan, and back to Abbotsford for 1 year, they finally settled in Lumby in 1959. In 1972 they moved to Coldstream Ranch and after Herb died Eva moved to Vernon. Eva became a caregiver and later on she married Peter Williamson.
She is survived by sons: Ronald (Heather), Howard (Diane), Douglas (Rosemarie), Bennie (Pattie) and Rodney; daughters: Marilyn (Gordon), Bisschop, Beverley (Duane) Anderson, Dianna, Judith (Stan) Grutchfield; daughter-in-law Linda; her brother Edward Sawatsky; and sister- in-law Lucy Sawatsky. Eva is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, nine of her siblings, her first husband, Herb Neufeld, 2nd husband, Peter Williamson, and her beloved son, Harley.

A celebration of life for Eva will be held at Pleasant Valley Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 24th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to be held in Coldstream Cemetery at a later date.
