

lived for the great outdoors. She was widowed by her husband Slim
Howay. Her life of adventure included barrel racing, working on a ranch
and dominating the travel industry. Her love of animals was shown
throughout her life, her fav dog Bobby and her love of saving animals in

In her later years she drove her RV around the world all on her own. She
always enjoyed learning about life and the animals who lived in it. You
would often find her explaining every episode of animal planet verbatim.
The strong woman that she was raised 3 children and 6 step children. She
was also widowed by her second husband Hector Lewis. She brought
joy to her family with her creativity, sewing skills and always made time
for her family, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She sewed
hundreds of quilts, ceremonial clothing and outfits for those in need. Her
grandchildren quite often referred to her as ‘the coolest grandma in the
world,’ screaming out teenage rock songs while driving them and their
friends to sporting events.
Her Children Kym, Rhonnda and Cliff remember the strong, independent,
resourceful and beautifully talented woman who took on many adversities.
A funeral will be held at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home at 1pm on March 2,
2019 followed by a get together at Durali Villa - 5960 Old Kamloops Road
from 2pm - 5pm. All are welcome.
