Gerhard Pilz

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gerhard (Gary) Pilz. Born on September 12, 1935, Gary passed away peacefully on February 9, 2013. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Elfriede; sons Robert, Eric and Ed; sister Erna; and grandchildren Mark, Noah, Nicholas, and Joshua.

An avid outdoorsman, Gary was passionate about fishing and many a story was told at the end of the day. We will miss his authenticity and passion for life; his love of family and the many stories he had to tell about a long and full life. We love you Dad, Uncle, and Grandpa. You will live on in our memories until we meet again.

The family would like to thank the St. James’ Catholic Parish for their care, compassion and support during this difficult time. We were truly blessed to have you as part of his life. Prayers were recited at 5:00 p.m. at St. James’ Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 13th with the Funeral Mass held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 14th. Interment followed at St. Nicholas’ Cemetery.
