Lidia Felice Sobotka

Lydia Felice Sobotka (Ciaccia), born 1934 in Kelowna, BC, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, in Vernon, BC. Lydia was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Predeceased in death by her husband, Bob Sobotka, (1995).

Saddened by her passing are her children, Debbie, and Troy (Andrea). Her much loved grandchildren, Desiree (Scott), Danielle (Rob), Bronte and great grandson, Blair.

Lydia enjoyed a fulfilling career as a LPN for 35 years in the lower mainland, providing care and compassion to her patients. She had a deep love for Italian food and cherished the music of the 50-80s. Her favorite being “What a Wonderful World”. A dedicated fan of the Blue Jays, She brought enthusiasm to the game and shared her passion with her family.

Lydia liked to tell stories of growing up on the family farm and all the adventures she had with her cousin Elmo.

Known for her kindness and thoughtfulness, Lydia touched the lives of many by always keeping others in her prayers and thoughts. Her warm spirit and loving nature will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Thank you to Carrington Place staff, she enjoyed her time there. As well as VJH and Hospice House for their care and compassion.
