

Born in Edmonton,1923,husband of the late Dorothea, father of Elizabeth and Jeffrey, passed away suddenly on October 7th, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie and many family members.
As a realist, Vic enjoyed life to the fullest. He lived in Edmonton, Sherridon, Pukatawagan, Kamloops, Vancouver, Richmond Hill, Peace River, Saskatoon, Montreal, Kabwe Zambia, Hudson Heights, and lately during the past 10
Years, the place of his choice, Vernon, BC.
After serving in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII, Vic graduated university with a degree in Civil Engineering. He had a long and successful career with Canadian National Railways, retiring in 1978 from CANAC as President and CEO as well as a member of the Board of Directors of C.N.R. Vic's next career endeavor was as an international consultant, leading him and Dorothea to spend 2 years in Zambia.
In a very personal way, during 35 years, Vic supported innumerable C.N. families in frontier areas of Canada and in unusual environments of third world countries in Asia, Africa and South America. Vic enjoyed retirement, spending leisure
time in Hudson, QC and eventually settling in the Okanagan Valley where he and Bonnie experienced many happy times during their years together.
Dad lived life to the fullest.
He will live forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Tea will be held on Friday, October 21st, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tea Room of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home.
