Audrey L. (Hahn) Wion

Audrey L. Wion, age 80 of Versailles, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2:33 AM. Born in Dayton, Ohio on December 21, 1941, she was a daughter to the late Lorne C. & Evelyn (Baskett) Hahn. Audrey was a graduate of Colonel White High School, Dayton, Ohio, Class of 1960. She married her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Wion, on November 6, 1971. Audrey and Kenneth were both charter members of the Versailles Rescue Squad, starting in 1974. She was active in Big Brothers Big Sisters in both Darke and Shelby counties, and also in the women’s auxiliary at the Eagles in Versailles. She enjoyed doing puzzles, cooking, gardening and animals, especially her cat, “Kitty”; and she always looked forward to her luncheons with her dear friends. Audrey was a proud resident of the Versailles community, and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Ralph R. Hahn: daughter-in-law Kimberly R. Craig.

Survived by her loving and devoted husband, Kenneth Wion: children Susan Lynn Connor; David Eugene Connor; Shona L. Long; Kristi (Eric) Allen: step-son Destry Allen (Hanane) Wion: grandchildren Ivan Connor; Elyas Wion; Sofia Wion; Daniel Hutcheson: great-grandson Miles Connor: siblings Deanna Harmon; Lorne C. Hahn, Jr.; Steven (Shirley) Hahn: sister-in-law Karen Parmenter: numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on the family from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio. Funeral service to be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Nick Dimmick presiding. Burial to follow at Brock Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Darke and Shelby Counties; Versailles Rescue Squad or FOP Eagles Auxiliary.
