

Helen was born on October 17, 1951, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Frank & Rita (Brunswick) Tumbush. She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Connie Schoenlein; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie Schoenlein, Joe Schoenlein, and Chester McKinney.
Helen is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas L. Schoenlein whom she married July 3, 1971, children, Ricky & Regina Schoenlein of Maria Stein, David & Tiffany Schoenlein of Gettysburg, and Joy & Neal Spradlin of Versailles; grandchildren, Jordan Thornburg, Brittani Schoenlein, Cameron Schoenlein, Austin Spradlin, Shelby Spradlin, Colten Spradlin, Mackanzie Spradlin, Phillip Boner III, Amanda Boner, and Angel Boner; great grandchildren, Ace Paulus and Oaklee Schoenlein; siblings, Jerry & Karen Tumbush of Florida, Mary McKinney of Russia, Doris & Dave McKinney of Troy, Millie & Steve Schroeder of Sidney, Tom & Alice Tumbush of Coldwater and Diane & Andy Heitbrink of Celina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen worked at Piqua Technologies in Piqua. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and the Versailles Y.M.C.A. Helen volunteered at Rustic Hope in her free time.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, November 29, 2025, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Ned Brown celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
