Patricia Joan Petitjean

Patricia was born on March 21, 1941, in Winchester, Indiana to the late George and Florence (Peters) Kissinger. In addition to her parents, Patricia was also preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Petitjean whom she married on September 30, 1961; her siblings, Kate, Ted and Sam; and Adrian’s brothers, Delbert, Joey and Wilbur.

Patricia is survived by her children, Jo Ann & James Jones of Louisville, Kentucky, Robert Petitjean of Versailles and Thomas & Dawn Petitjean of Versailles; grandchildren, Jarrett Petitjean and Kaleb Petitjean; brother-in-law, Charles (Pam) Petitjean; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia first and foremost was a homemaker, who loved to care for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an excellent pie baker; her family especially enjoyed her cherry pies. She loved being outdoors gardening. Patricia retired from the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and the Fraternal order of the Eagles Auxiliary in Versailles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Ned Brown celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
