Affectionately known as Palo, she was born in Mukandpur, India, on March 4, 1944. She made Victoria her home when she arrived in 1965, and in May 1966, she married Pakhar Singh.
Palo dedicated her life to her family, taking immense joy in her roles as a mother and grandmother. She was the heart of her home, always making sure everyone was “well-fed at Mom’s”.
She was predeceased by her father, Jagat Singh Gill, and mother, Gurdas Kaur Jhinger, and husband Pakhar Singh Phagura.
Survived by her daughters Tajinder (Denis), Mandip (Paul), and Jaswinder (Wayne), her son Jagtar (Nancy). Grandchildren Maya, Hannah, Nathan, Mason, Sophia, Rayna, Meera, Ava, and Ria.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 5th at 11:00 AM at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, followed by a Gurdwara prayer service and langar at Khalsa Diwan Society, 1210 Topaz Ave, Victoria.
