Audrey was born on January 20, 1926, in Siangtan, Hunan Provence, China to Ward and Eva Davis who were missionaries there. She returned to the States with her family as a one-year-old and grew up in Oklahoma, USA, as a daughter of a presbyterian minister. Audrey graduated from Park College and then pursued her master’s degree in audiology. She met Norman when he was attending the University of Oklahoma for his master’s chemistry. He was the love of her life for over 70 years. Life would eventually take them to Texas, England, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts and bring Elizabeth, Diane, and Roger into their family. Audrey eventually went on to become a junior high school teacher and then the administrative assistant at her church office. She and Norman moved to Victoria, BC, in 1983 to care for his parents. She would later become a Canadian citizen and had 42 years of happy memories in Canada, as well as travels in the U.S., and Europe. After a short illness, Audrey passed peacefully in her sleep on January 20, 2026, with family at her side, just 10 days shy of her 100th birthday.
Audrey will be missed by her three children, their spouses, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
