Beth was born in Creston BC and moved to Victoria with her family at an early age. After her parents divorced she was raised by her Nana. Beth had many interesting and varied jobs from secretarial to waitressing, from working at a WWII POW camp in Alberta, to being part of the crew that built the Alaska Highway. Beth landed at Queale Electronics in Victoria where she happily worked for many years until retirement making some lifelong friends along the way.
She married Archie in 1960 and had two children; Bonnie and Archie, adding to her family having had two sons, Tom and Lloyd, from her previous marriage. The family spent many years camping and travelling around BC and Alberta.
Beth loved to knit and donated many knitted animals and her time to charities and different organizations over the years. She also loved dogs and provided a loving home to many older dogs that had been given up for adoption later in life. She was an incredible baker and her mincemeat tarts became a special and sought-after Christmas treat for many.
Beth made the most of her 98 years, living on her own, in her own home right to the end. Enjoying and embracing her loving family that were never far away. Her love and her zest for fun will be deeply missed.
