Frank , I just heard about Betty passing away to day. I'm so sorry . My deepest sympathy, she was a very nice lady.

Lance & I didn't get to see much of you and Betty after you moved to the coast but she is still a part of Megan and Jason's life every Xmas - for their first Xmas when they were babies, she sent them a stocking to hang - they still use the same stockings every year even though they are in their thirties!! Dear Frank and George
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Betty. She was such a wonderful, caring person.  I have many very fond memories of her as I was growing up, from being a skinny little kid right up to being a young man.

 One of my favorite stories is the four of us crammed into the cab of that old Chevy pick-up on one of our early morning drives to Nakamun.   The quarters were tight and the road bumpy,  making for an uncomfortable ride.   But the anticipation of the breakfast Betty was going to cook on that old wood stove when we got there made the long drive worth while.

After my Mom died in 1967, Betty took me under her wing, treating me like a second son. She went out of her way to make me feel like a welcome part of  your family. She always had a smile for me  I never saw her angry.  Betty Bruce was a special person in my life and I'm very grateful for the memories I have of her.  She will always occupy a place in my heart.

Dear Frank and George, I can't tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I will really miss Betty in our Park group and as a good friend. Her sense of humour made each work party with her a pleasure. And she sure worked hard to  make our little park so much better, as did you. She really cared about the natural environment and our wildlife which made her a rare bird in today's world. She was a founding member of our volunteer group and she will be sorely missed by all of us who knew her.

I worked with Betty in Bow Park.  She was a lovely person and  a pleasure to know albeit for only a short time.  She will be fondly remembered by all of us who cheerfully  tolied side by side with her.
