Calvin Oliver Bardal passed away on April 29, 2015. He was born in Winnipeg Manitoba on Sept 16, 1923. Cal proudly served as an officer in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve in WWII. Graduating from UBC as a Forester in 1951, his career was spent in B.C.’s forest industry. His work culminated with a 15-year term teaching forestry and mathematics at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George. He retired to Kelowna B.C. and eventually to Victoria B.C. Cal is survived by his wife, Shirley Margaret and by son Harry (Joan Watterson) and daughter Beverly (Gerald Vanderwoude), two grandchildren, Harry and Nina Vanderwoude, niece April Brown, and nephew Paul Bardal.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
