I am Peter, English cousin to Kathy.
As a young boy it was most exotic to have family living halfway across the world.
At Christmas sweets would arrive from Canada, with very different flavours to those in the UK.  I vividly remember "wintergreen" mints. Not my favourite.
As I grew older, through my mother, I would learn of all the family members. So as the years passed it was such a pleasure to meet them when they visited us.
However, a great delight was sharing our boat with Cathie as we travelled down the River Thames towards open water, when she visited us.  PS, we are still looking for the cushion, which Cathie posted into the water!
Mary & I have been able to watch part of the funeral service and hope to view the remainder in due course.

We have wonderful memories of Nigel and Cathie’s visits to England 
Special cruises up the River Thames where they were an excellent crew even out on the choppy waters of the River Estuary 
Our final special time  together was a fleeting visit to a cousin of Nigel’s near Stockport when we took a trip up into the Pennines
Our late night phone calls were treasured and we both loved her and will miss her always

Nigel,

Pastor Don Allan reached out by telephone this morning to let us know about Cathy's service today; I am SO thankful that he did. 
 Unfortunately I am not able to make it to the service in person.  I will attend online but I am sending a big, long, supportive and 'grieving-with-you' hug.

My kids remember you and Cathy from the time we went to your home for spaghetti dinner while filming a "Welcome Home" video for Glad Tidings church.  Yes, many years ago, and yet it feels like yesterday. 

I have always looked up to both of you, have always felt supported and encouraged by you, and have always loved the way you both live genuinely.  Thank you for sharing your wife with SO many people on this earth, Nigel.  Sometimes words don't seem to do justice in describing a person's value and impact; for me this is one of those times. 

Just know that I loved her dearly.   You (and your family) are in our prayers as you navigate through all of this.   May the Lord be your strong arms of comfort, your strength to keep going on days that you don't want to, your provider for all that you will need, and your guide through this journey of grief.

Dear Nigel and family,

I am shocked and sorry to hear of Cathie's recent but untimely passing. I remember her ready smile and warmth.  and our several years together at our fellowship of "Freedom in Christ" under the leadership  of Dr. Ross Bailey and his wife, Carol. I remember her fun stories about the various antics of your cats. Many thoughts are bringing a smile to my face.

I only met Cathie a few times when she came over to England , however she made such an impression on me, her warmth, her humour.
I remember going to a pub with her in Great Budworth and we were inundated with wasps .
We also went to an Antique centre called Dagfields and had such a lovely afternoon and Cathie and Nigel persuaded me to buy a lovely old suede and sheepskin coat , it still hangs in my wardrobe, more of a memory now.
Cathie was a lovely lady and we kept in touch over the internet , when she’d talk about “the boys”

I am saddened  to learn of Cathies passing.  She was a wonderful lady and I am blessed to have called her "Friend".
I pray that all of you will be comforted by knowing she is with her Heavenly Father. My prayers are with you all as you go through this
difficult time.
