
Cheryl Lee Strachan, age 71, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born in Saskatchewan in November 1954, Cheryl later made her home in Victoria, British Columbia, where she spent most of her life and formed deep connections within her community.
From an early age, Cheryl showed a remarkable love for music. She developed a particular passion for the French horn and became an accomplished musician, a talent that reflected both her dedication and her appreciation for the arts.
Cheryl carried that same dedicated spirit into her professional life, building a long and respected career in telecommunications. She was known for her strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to continuous learning. In keeping with her determination and intellectual curiosity, Cheryl earned a Business Diploma from Camosun College and later a Technology Diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Cheryl was the eldest child of Jim and Pat Robertson. In 1960, the Robertson family moved to Victoria, British Columbia. Cheryl was predeceased by her parents and her brother Jamie Robertson.
Above all, Cheryl cherished her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, her grandchild, her brother Doug, and her nieces and nephew who brought her immense pride and joy.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Cheryl had a deep love for travel. She enjoyed exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and creating lasting memories through her journeys.
Cheryl’s life was one of quiet strength, lifelong learning, and deep devotion to family. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
