Highly intelligent, she earned a Bachelors and a Masters degree in an era when such levels of higher education were very rare for women. She spent most of her adult life with her loving husband, sharing their many common interests including overseas travel. Daisy worked as a social worker and enjoyed her retirement as a writer of non-fiction and romance. She was a very positive person who was always interested in others.
Daisy was predeceased by her parents, Russell and Agnes, and by her husband, Stewart (Red) Zimmerman, next to whom she was laid to rest at Royal Oak Burial Park. Daisy leaves behind several cousins. Her family wishes to express gratitude to the staff and volunteers in the Fairfield Unit at the Glengarry Hospital.
