Darren James Garner

Darren was born May 30th, 1964 in Sale, Greater Manchester, UK to parents Neville & Margaret Garner. Darren & his younger sister Karen moved with their parents to British Columbia in 1965 where they settled in Fairfield. Darren attended Margaret Jenkins Elementary and later Central Junior and Victoria High Schools where he was an excellent athlete and had many friends that he kept in touch with throughout his 61 years. Together with Kathie, he had two children, Carson & Samantha who he loved deeply and raised in Strawberry Vale. Darren was a dedicated sports Dad who took great pleasure in watching his son play hockey and both kids play soccer.

His Dad Neville, wanted to add that they had the closest father and son relationship that there could be and that he was always very proud of his son.

Darren was predeceased by his mother Margaret and his friend Sean Kelly. He is survived by his children Carson & Samantha, his father Neville (Donna), his sister Karen (Eric), his nephew Brendan (Lexi), his niece Shae-Lynn (Dan), his Auntie Jo, his cousins Denise (Steve), Les, Craig and David, his Auntie Kathleen and special family friend Susan. He is also remembered by his good friends Don Kasper, Dean Dymont, Marc Cossette and Russ Cox, as well as many others.

There will be no funeral at Darren's request.
