It is with great sadness that the family of Eldon announce his peaceful passing on November 6th, 2024 with his children by his side. Born in Wawanesa Manitoba, Eldon enjoyed playing hockey and helping in his dad's barber shop. After high school, he moved to Chilliwack where he met Illa at a dance at Cultus Lake. After their wedding, they moved around BC with their children when Eldon worked at BC Telephone.
Dad's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends at his home and at camp in Parksville. He had a great sense of humour that made him a joy to be around.
We'll remember dad for his generosity, honesty, loyalty, and his ability to always be there for us and to treasure the many friends that he had.
Eldon was predeceased by Illa, the love of his life (1997). He is survived by his children Ellen (Les), Christine (Bob), David (Cindy), grandchildren Jenny, Brendan, Bryan, Heather, Laura, Lissa, Megan; and great grandchildren Kowen and Juliette.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Berwick Brio for their comforting care in his final months.
