marathon until he reached his final destination. He
maintained his love of life and sense of humour throughout.
Gordon is survived by his children: Debra, Bonnie (Robert), &
Lindsay; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-inlaws
Pat and Jane Ann Summers; and numerous nieces &
nephews. Pre-deceased by his wife, Mae and son, Bruce.
Gordon coached high school football in Lethbridge taking the
team to a provincial championship and repeating many years
later when his son, Lindsay played for Sir Winston Churchill
High School. He golfed numerous courses in & around
Cochrane, AB winning many tournaments. He loved bridge
and played competitively for years.
The forty years they spent on the acreage outside Cochrane
were some of their happiest times. Lots of family and friends
and endless cruising. When he moved to Victoria in 2020 he
left behind some amazing friends, Jerry Braun & Eldon
Godfrey.
Gordon would like to send a heartfelt goodbye to all the great
friends he has at the Berwick; bridge partners, poker
players, puzzle ladies, table mates, breakfast buddies, his
close neighbours, all those he talked to in the halls & eating
areas.
We would like to thank the staff of the Berwick, the doctors & nurses
at Saanich Peninsula Hospital and the medical professionals that
helped dad go forward with dignity. The Moir Family.
