His sister, Sue and husband Bill were with him.
Laurie worked as an auto mechanic, working at Gallaugher Automotive until retirement. He had a passion for auto racing and worked on race cars for years. You could find him at Western Speedway or many other racetracks throughout BC or the States. Laurie had a huge family of racing friends in the community.
Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Gerry and Sharon Vantreight, whom helped Laurie out immensely through the illness.
Laurie is survived by sister Sue (Bill) Hinds, brother Ron (Debbie) Michaux, and brother
Greg Michaux. He is a survived by nephews and nieces, Marci, Steven and Douglas Hinds, Daniel, Sarah and Leah Michaux and great niece and nephew Layla Kenno and Emmett.
