Lola Jean Thom

Lola was born in Coronation AB on 16th August 1928. She moved from Coronation to Calgary, AB where she met Sam, married, and started a family. Her family eventually moved to Edmonton where she had a successful 27-year career in Real Estate. In retirement, Lola moved to Vancouver Island to be close to her family for the remainder of her life.

On May 28th 2025, Lola was called home to be with her Lord and savior and to reunite with her husband Sam and son Terry.

Lola will always be remembered as one of the kindest, most caring and generous people. Within minutes of meeting her, you would feel as if you were a lifelong friend. Known for her hugs and encouragement, Lola always knew how to make you forget your worries and feel much lighter. What meant most to Lola was the people she met and the friends she made. Her legacy will be her love for her Lord and her wish was that all she came to know, would serve her Lord, Jesus as she did.

Service to be held at Highway Christian Fellowship (10364 McDonald Park Rd, Sidney, BC) on Wednesday, June 4th 2025, at 10am.

A funeral service with reception in church hall for Lola will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Highway Christian Fellowship, 10364 McDonald Park Rd, Sidney, BC V8L 3Z9. Following the funeral service with reception in church hall will be a graveside burial from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Royal Oak Burial Park, 4673 Falaise Dr, Victoria, BC V8Z 7J1.
