Martha was born in Columbia Valley outside Chilliwack BC and was predeceased by her parents Ida and Otto Teschke, siblings Karl, Elizabeth, Herbert, Eric and husband of 45 years Arnold.
Martha grew up in Haney and moved to Vancouver after school where she met Arnold at her workplace, and they were married in 1961. Martha enjoyed raising three children and working part time at an elementary school for many years prior to retirement. Martha and Arnold moved to Victoria in 1999 to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Martha is survived by her children Larry (Anna), Catherine (Bill), Carol (Steven) and grandchildren Alexander, Matthew, Graeme, Sarah and sisters Frieda, Mary (Bjorn) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Our hearts will forever cherish and miss the time that we shared with our kind and loving mother.
A memorial service will be held Friday January 12, 2024 at 2pm at the Chapel at Royal Oak Burial Park and burial afterwards officiated by Pastor Beth Parsons . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Kidney or Heart and Stroke Foundations.
