Michele Deana Matthews

Michele is survived by her father Glenn Matthews (Joy); brother Richard Matthews (Annica); her best ever friend Shelley (Ian) Shepherd, her nephews Zachary Matthews, Madisson Matthews, Josh (Ashley) Jablonski and her niece Britanny (John), aunts Myrna (Don) Tenaschuk, Pat Montay.

Michele was preceded in death by her mother Linda Matthews.

Michele loved animals. At 12 she met the love of her life, Deablo, a horse she kept for three decades. Her enthusiasm led her to work at vet clinics for many years before coming to work at First Memorial.

Michele had a lively sense of humour, spending many hours laughing with her BFF, Shelly.

Anyone who saw Michele knew she had an amazing sense of style. She was always beautifully turned out.

Though she lived in a condo, Michele took joy in planting a beautiful balcony garden and in buying herself bouquets regularly.

Over the course of her illness she was buoyed up by the warm thoughts from many bouquets from friends & family.

A memorial reception for Michele will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, British Columbia V8Y1B4.
