Pakhar Singh Phagura

Pakhar was born in Banga, India on March 5, 1936. He arrived in Victoria in 1965 where he lived for the entirety of his life. He started his working career at the sawmill immediately after arriving in Canada. In May of the following year, he married Amrit Pal (Palo). Pakhar was a kind and generous man whose door was always open to friends and acquaintances. He was universally respected and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Predeceased by his father Rajmal Singh and mother Kishan Kaur. Survived by his wife Amrit Pal Kaur. Daughter Tajinder (Denis), son Jagtar (Nancy), daughters Mandip (Paul) and Jaswinder (Wayne). Grandchildren Maya, Hannah, Nathan, Mason, Sophia, Rayna, Meera, Ava and Ria.

Viewing for friends and family will take place on Thursday December 30, 2021 from 9:30am to 10:30am at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria.

Funeral Services will be for immediate family only (by invitation). Due to public health orders, seating is reserved for immediate family only. Gurdwara service to follow at Khalsa Diwan Society, 1210 Topaz Ave, Victoria.
