By an early age, Bob had acquired his father's love of golf a passion that lasted a lifetime. Growing up, he spent numerous hours at Peace Portal Golf Course and swimming off the White Rock pier. In his travels there was always a golf course on the itinerary and Bob was fortunate to have played many of the renowned courses.
Bob attended UBC and after graduation worked as a Chartered Accountant then as a partner with KPMG in Vancouver. Upon retirement, he settled in Victoria.
Bob was an inaugural ticket holder and dedicated fan of the Canucks, rarely missing a game. Bob was always optimistic the Canucks would someday hoist the Stanley Cup.
In retirement he served two terms on North Saanich council, spent countless happy hours at Cordova Bay Golf Course, boating, traveling and lawn bowling with Sidney & Lake Hill Lawn Bowling Clubs.
Bob is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Noreen; his three children from an earlier marriage; five grandchildren and his stepdaughter.
At Bob's request there will be no service. He did, however ask that everyone raise a glass or two in his memory.
