Rosemary Lillian Hayes

She spent her formative years in Wainwright, Alberta, where she developed her interest in caring for others. Rosemary pursued her nursing ambitions, earning her RN and Psych N qualifications.

Her journey led her to Port Coquitlam where she rose to the position of assistant director of nursing at Riverview Hospital. It was there that she met her beloved husband, Hugh Hayes. Their love story blossomed, and they embarked on a life together raising two sons: Stephen and Michael.

Rosemary's kind spirit extended beyond her friends and family to her many patients.

In 1982, Rosemary and Hugh made Victoria their home where they enjoyed the island's beauty and tranquility. Sadly, Hugh predeceased her in 2003, leaving a void that Rosemary carried with grace and resilience.

Rosemary is survived by her sons, Stephen and Michael (Rosemarie), grandsons Ryan and Kevin, sisters Paula and Dorothy and many nieces and nephews

Rosemary is predeceased by her husband Hugh, daughter-in-law Tracy and siblings Mary, Joseph, Edmund, Petronella and Benjamin.

Rosemary's legacy lives on through her family, and her unwavering love. A small, private funeral will honour her memory.
