

Born in Ottawa, ON, Gail was the daughter of Delmar Thomas Wilbert Faulkner and Viola Minnie Gertrude Weckwerth. She grew up in on a farm outside of Stittsville, ON and graduated from South Carleton High School. She worked as the “Third Man” in small RCMP detachments throughout Saskatchewan patching radio calls through, worked as an administrative assistant at Transport Canada, West Carleton Arena, Germar Transportation and Assaly Corp. though she was most proud of working on Parliament Hill.
Gail was a member of the Sidney Legion and Cordova Bay 55+ Club in Victoria, BC. She previously had been an Executive Member of both the Stittsville and West Carleton Figure Skating Clubs as well as a Girl Guide Leader in Carp, ON. Gail enjoyed cheering on her grandsons at hockey, soccer and lacrosse, spending time with her dogs, gardening and going to bingo with her friends and enjoying the company of her family. She will be remembered for her friendly, social nature, her generosity, her fudge, her buttertarts and for being such a good sport.
Gail is survived by her children: Cindy Hendrickson, Sandy Clemens (Oliver Clemens) and Bill Hendrickson (Stephanie Kaman), grandsons: Connor McNamee, James McNamee, Ty Hendrickson, Max Clemens, Sawyer Clemens, brother: Garry Faulkner and puppies: Thunder and Lightning.
She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Foco, Erskine Faulkner, Gordon Faulkner and Bruce Faulkner.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 1pm at the Cordova Bay 55+ Club located at 5238 Cordova Bay Road, Victoria, BC. She will be interred at the Stittsville United Church Cemetery in Stittsville, ON at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are respectfully suggested to be made to ROAM (Reuniting Owner with Animals Missing) Ltd, a non-profit established to assist owner in finding lost or missing pets on South Vancouver Island. www.roambc.org/donation
