It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Mrs. Surjit Kaur Sandhu, wife of the Late Mr. Surat Singh Sandhu. She passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27th, 2018. She was 83 years old.
She was the daughter-in-law of the Late Mr. Arjan Singh and the Late Mrs. Kartar Kaur Sandhu of Rurka Kalan, Punjab, India.
She was the mother of 4. She had 1 daughter and 3 sons. Her daughter is Jaswinder Kaur Atwal wife of the Late Jagir Singh Atwal of England. Her sons are Paramjit Singh Sandhu and wife Harjinder Kaur Sandhu of Rurka Kalan, Punjab; Jagtar Singh Sandhu and wife Tajinder Kaur Sandhu of Surrey; Harpal Singh Sandhu and wife Ranjit Kaur Sandhu of Victoria.
Surjit Kaur Sandhu had 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Surjit Kaur Sandhu will be missed fondly and dearly by all those who knew her.
The family sincerely thanks the staff at the Gorge Road Hospital who tended to their mom’s daily needs.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:30am at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC with a Bhog Ceremony and Langar to follow at the Khalsa Diwan Society, Gurdwara Sahib, 1210 Topaz, Victoria, BC
