Wesley Clarence Popowich

In loving memory of Wesley C Popowich who was born in August 1942 in Armstrong, BC. Wes passed away peacefully on July 15th 2025 in Victoria, BC at Victoria Hospice at RJH from a long battle with prostate and bone cancer.

Wes is predeceased by his parents Dan and Frieda Popowich. Wes is survived by his two children Heather and Brent (Courtney), and his two grandchildren Connor and Charlotte. Sisters Sharon (Piero) and Carol and his brother David

Wes married Lynda in August 1962, who passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2025.

Wes and Lynda moved to Victoria in 1968 from the Okanagan.

Wes was happiest when he was listening to gospel music, discussing scripture with friends or tinkering around in his garage with his many tools and projects. He was very handy and always had a project on the go. He retired from Island Farms Dairy in 2006 after 33 years. Over the years he had many different jobs before and after retirement like driving school bus, working for himself as an arborist, and being a custodian at Colwood Church for extra money to help put his kids through private school.

Wes was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

A joint celebration of life with his wife Lynda of almost 63 years will be held on Saturday September 6th at 1:00pm at Colwood Church, 2250 Sooke Rd, Colwood, BC.
