Allin Walker Newman Jr.

Allin Walker Newman Jr., age 79, of Bloomington, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was born on April 18, 1946 to Allin Walker Newman, Sr. and Margie Elizabeth Dial Newman. He married Ruth on June 11, 1966. Allin attended school in Beeville and Victoria, Texas and he was a disabled veteran from the Vietnam War. He joined the Army in September 1967 and returned in March 1969.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Kristie (Murry) Pope of Cuero and one son, Alfred (Belinda) of Corpus Christi; brothers, Ernest of Austin, Ronnie of the Philippines, Robert of Kingsville and Gary of Yoakum and Terry of Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren, Charles Allin Pope (Brad) of WI, Kristopher Dwayne (Kasey) of Cuero, Kendra Marie (Tyler) of Fort Worth and Korthney Mia of Corpus Christi; 3 great-granddaughters, Kylisa J. Pope, Stacey Mae Ione and Vera Dawn Grace; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ellen Little; brothers, James Bryan Newman and Ricki Paul Newman; and maternal grandmother, Ary Elizabeth Ellis.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5-8PM at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 1PM at Colonial Funeral Home, with burial following at Nursery Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Teddy Holcombe, Johnny V. Hare, Michael Filip, William Newman, Gilbert Slavik, Elo Morales and Kristopher Pope.
