Alta Lou Richardson, 89, of Victoria, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Corpus Christi. She was born in Houston, Texas to William O. and Johnnie Ely Warren on July 15, 1935. Alta was a dedicated and compassionate LVN before she retired, and a member of Northside Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Alta is preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Richardson, Sr. and grandson, James Richardson.
Alta is survived by her sister, Mary Waitschies, her daughter, Patricia Aline Nichols; sons, Jackie Ray Richardson, Jr. and his wife Jennifer and Johnny Oliver Richardson and his wife Rebecca; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Alta’s family was her pride and joy. She was a caring mother and grandmother who always loved a good joke. She had the amazing ability to put you in your place with just a stern look. She thoroughly enjoyed dancing, she said she could feel the music in her knees. She also enjoyed hunting with friends. Her love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 9-10 am, followed by Funeral Service at 10 am, all at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Mission Valley Cemetery.
Honoring her by serving as Pallbearers will be her Grandchildren.
