

From his marriage to Joyce Josephine Cooksey Adams, there were two sons, Alvin Carl Mudd of Dallas and Billy Wayne Mudd of Victoria; six grandchildren, Earl Wayne Mudd, Dallas Mudd, Jason Todd Mudd, Leslie Leigh Mudd Johnston (deceased), Joyce Blank, Tiffany Burgess, Tammie Lee Mudd; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Alvin was one of eight children.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Mudd, Marvin Mudd, Deo Mudd and Herschel Mudd.
He is survived by sisters, Gladys Mudd and Wanda Rossow; and brothers, Delmer Mudd and Leon Mudd.
He lived most of his adult life in Victoria until the last one and one-half years when he moved to Dallas to be close to his son and daughter-in-law due to declining health. Alvin retired from Tenneco with almost 30 years of service as a heavy equipment operator and construction inspector. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Colonial Funeral Home chapel.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery conducted by Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria, Texas 361-578-3535.
Pallbearers will be Delmer Mudd, Leon Mudd, Jason Mudd, Christopher Mudd, Rob Rossow, Joe Rebecek and Aidan Mudd Johnston.
