Arthur R. Slone

Arthur R. Slone, 76, of Victoria, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017. He was born May 31, 1941 in Bay City to the late William Henry Slone, Sr. and Phyllis Olive White Slone. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Arthur retired from DuPont after 36 years of dedicated service and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer, bowler and a devoted husband, Daddy and Pappy.

Survivors include his daughter, Ronda Slone (Chris) Hebert; son, Robert R. (Rebecca) Slone; brothers, David Slone, Richard Slone, Bill Slone and Dale Slone; grandchildren, Ashana Nakai Salazar, Mikaela Rae Vanek, Robert Ashton Slone and Ryleigh Michelle Slone; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Alese Salazar. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved sweetheart, Dr. Joyce M. Slone and brother, Jesse H. Slone.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Shamburger officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jim Caffey, Cody Caffey, Dean Seydler, David Buchhorn, Brandon Foster and Derek Caffey. Honorary pallbearers are David Slone, Richard Slone, Bill Slone, Dale Slone, Gus Seydler, Mack Redd, Ashton Slone, William Foster, and Chris Hebert.
