The Lord called Dr. Benny Joe Skopal home on December 6, 2020 at the age of 72. Benny was born January 14, 1948 in Victoria, Texas to Henry and Doris Skopal. Benny Graduated from VHS in 1966, and went on to attend Victoria College, A&M and ultimately Texas Chiropractic College where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1985.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years Roswitha Skopal, his children Angelina McAfee (Walter Jr), and Monika Clayton (Ron). Seven beloved grandchildren a sister and a host of great grand-children and nephews.
Benny is preceded in death by his parents Henry P. Skopal, and Doris M. Skopal, and son Chris-topher.
Benny lived his life serving others and the will of God. He started life as a rice farmer, where he learned the value of hard work and dedication. As a young man he ventured out into the world where he traveled and worked until he found his calling, helping ease the pain of others through the Chiropractic Arts. In 1985 he began his practice alongside his devoted wife Roswitha. Ben-ny also enjoyed reading his Bible, going to Sunday School, gardening, telling jokes, fishing as well as playing Domino’s. He enjoyed his Moo Moo’s, watching Western movies, picking pecans and teaching his grandchildren about the mysteries of life.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 16, 2020,12:00 PM at Memory Gardens Ceme-tery, 8819 US-87, Victoria, TX 77904.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will follow at 3 PM hosted by Northside Baptist Church, 4100 N Laurent St, Victoria, TX 77901.
