Betty Bernard

Betty Harpin Bernard, 92, of Victoria, passed away on December 9, 2025. She was born on March 19, 1933, in Creston, Iowa, to Lloyd and Minnie Hall Harpin. Betty was retired and enjoyed spending time with family, bowling, playing board games, and dominoes (especially 42 and Trivial Pursuit).

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon “Sheri” Tschoepe (Charles); son, Bobby Ray Bernard (Donna); 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; and, precious to her heart, Becky DeFriend and John Buhler. Becky gave her two more grandchildren and three great-grandchildren to love.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Emerson Notz; second husband, Billy Bob Bernard; son, William George Notz; parents; and nine siblings: Helen McIntire, Margaret Thompson, William Harpin, Jerry Harpin, Ray Harpin, Lawrence Harpin, Frank Harpin, Earl Harpin, and Minnie Bell Martin.

A visitation will be held at Rosewood Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025. A celebration of Betty’s life will take place on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Rosewood.
