Bettye Jean Bryant Jordan, 84, was born in Dunn, North Carolina to Oscar Allen Bryant, Sr. and Gertrude Weaver Bryant. She journeyed home to be with her Savior on Friday, October 19, 2018. She passed away at home peacefully surrounded byher loved ones. She loved her family fiercely and lived out her faith for God in all that she did.
Bettye was preceded in death by her parents, step-mom, Iva Bryant, sister, Patricia Bryant Johnson, and son-in-law, Gary Charles Crick.
Bettye is survived by her husband and love of her life of 67 years, Herschel C. Jordan, and Brother Oscar Allen Bryant, Jr. (Sue) and her children: Daughters, Debbie Crick, Diane Jordan Varga (Richard) and son, David H. Jordan (Ben); Grandchildren:Aaron Crick Jordan (Kyra), Cory Robertson, Jordan Crick, Collin Robertson, Leighton Crick (Gina) and Rebecca Crick Hempkins (Brad). Great grandchildren: Korbin Jordan, Mia Bettye Jordan, Samuel Crick, William Crick, Sullivan Hempkins and Sloane Hempkins. Bettyeis also survived by her loving caregiver Angie Trevino.
Bettye moved to Victoria in 1961 and for many years worked alongside her husband in the car business Jordan Motor Company. She served her Lord through her service at Northside Baptist Church as a 5 yr. old Sunday school teacher for over50 years. Her giving spirit was felt by her family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Jordan, Cory Robertson, Collin Robertson, Brad Hempkins, Leighton Crick and Richard Varga.
A celebration of life will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home 3304 E. Mockingbird, Victoria, Texas 77904 at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018.
A private family graveside service will be held at Beech Creek Baptist Cemetery, Spurger, TX at 3:30 P.M.
