Billie Jean Slaughter

Billie was born April 16, 1932 in Colorado City, Colorado. Billie was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Billie had a daycare in her home for many years where the children referred to her as "Bee". Later on she worked at The Presbyterian Day School as an early childhood teacher.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe M. Slaughter after 55 years of marriage; daughter, Marian Ermis; and brothers, B.W. Stockstill and W.D. Stockstill.

Billie is survived by her daughters, Norma Bitterly (David) and Gay Lowery (Craig); grandchildren, Jason Reese (Paula), Curt Bitterly (Jennifer), Kyle Bitterly (Kierstin), Scott Lowery (Kerry) and Jenna Hahn (David); great-grandchildren, Conner Bitterly, Ryan Bitterly, Sophie Lowery and Emily Lowery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 5-7pm at Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 10am at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial donations be made to Hospice of South Texas or MidTown Church of Christ Church.
