Blake was a skilled journeyman electrician. He was described as a “workhorse” by many of his employers over the years. To watch him at work was a treat as he used his knowledge, ability to troubleshoot, and skills to bring power to people and businesses. Blake was not a man of many words, but he had a heart of gold and always wanted the best for everyone.
Blake is survived by his beloved 9-year-old daughter Macyn Justyne Perkins of Victoria whom he affectionately referred to as “monkey”; Blake's mother, Melony Dennis Perkins and father Jeff Perkins and wife Pamela; sister Chelsea Ann Buckler and husband Tyler; brother Hunter Ayden Perkins and wife Stori and grandmother Anita June Mack. He is also survived by step-siblings, Ashley Brinkman, Austin Brinkman (Alli), and Kendalyn Welch (Trey) a slew of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts that loved him unconditionally.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Nancy Perkins, Marvin Edward Dennis and James Mack as well as his uncles, Pete Perkins and Patrick Dennis, and aunt, Cheryl Jaschke.
Some people say that time can heal all wounds. But is it more accurate to say that it is what one does with one’s time that helps one to heal? It takes time and tender care to heal emotional pain. Death is a dreadful reality that engulfs us all and causes a feeling of helplessness. This sadness strikes indiscriminately. It spares no one. Neither riches nor power can reverse the loss. Strong ones weep, as do the weak.
While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one, we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the joy of having our heavenly Father return our dear ones to us.
