Carl H. Acord

Carl H. Acord, 76, of Victoria passed away Monday, August 8, 2011. He was born February 23, 1935, in Oark, Arkansas, to the late John Herbert and Ethel Melson Acord. He was born and raised in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. He moved to Texas in his late teens and worked in the construction business. Carl was one of Jehovah’s witnesses, having dedicated his life to Jehovah God on October 3, 1953. He spent the rest of his life helping others learn what the Bible really teaches.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Jenell Conrad Acord of Victoria; son, Marshall Zane Acord and wife, Carla of Austin; daughters, Leslie Hubenak and husband, Ronnie, of Edna, and Lani Rodriguez and husband, Mario of Victoria; sister, Ruby Nowotny of Clarksville, Arkansas.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by infant twins, Keith Lance and Carla Nell Acord; sister, JoAnn Schwartz; brothers, Dennis, Harold, Roy and Dan.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Friday, August 12, 2011, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p. m.
