Cynthia Kaye Salyer, 76, passed away January 6, 2019. Cindy was born June 4, 1942 in Rockdale, Texas to the late Thomas “TJ” and Bessie Bell Beasley Kyle. Cindy was a generous, graceful, Godly woman placing her family as priority one. Cindy helped raise her siblings and exerted tremendous energy, time, and purpose to be with her extended family, grandchildren and her new, great-granddaughter. She adored her children and devoted her life to preparing them to be strong believers and contributors to their communities. After they were grown, she went to work as a bank teller at Prosperity Bank and retired 33 years later as Vice President Merchant Service. Cindy was a member of Central Church of Christ.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jimmie Joe Salyer; daughter, Trayce Elise Salyer (Scott) of Grapevine; son, Corbey Harlin Salyer (Kristin) of Leander; sisters, Elizabeth Johnson (James Earl) of Florence, Carol Reeder (Thomas) of Georgetown, Pamela Smith of Bertram, Rosemary McGee (Rodney) of Burnet, Alice Speer (Tim) of College Station; brothers, William Kyle (Dottie) of Salado, Thomas Kyle (Tracy) of Bryan; grandchildren, Courtney Elizabeth Bradford, Lindsey Leigh Bradford, Kyle William Bradford (Abigail), Victoria Elise Bradford (fiancé, Kevin Norman), Samuel Travis Bradford, Abigail Faith Bradford, Ezekiel Joseph Bradford, Keegan Jimmie Salyer, Kamden Chad Salyer, Kaston Jones Salyer and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Leigh Bradford.
Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2-3 PM at Central Church of Christ in Victoria, followed by a reception in the Annex building.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 12, 2019 (1 PM visitation, 2 PM funeral) at Forest Grove Church in Rockdale, TX followed by burial in the Forest Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Corbey Salyer, Alan Kyle, Clint Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Cameron Reeder, TJ Reeder, Ben Speer and Stephen McGee.
